OPTIMISED CELL FUNCTION FOR AN OPTIMAL YOU
Found in every human cell, NAD+ plays a critical role in literally hundreds of your body’s fundamental processes1. As we age, our natural NAD+ levels decline, leading to reduced energy, increased inflammation, slower recovery from illnesses, and even oxidative damage. When our cells don’t function at their optimal levels, neither do we.
There are many supplements on the market containing NAD precursors. When consumed orally, NAD+ precursors such as nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) get broken down in the small intestine to nicotinamide, ribose, phosphate, and adenosine, before absorption into the bloodstream2,3. These molecules are then taken up by the cells to reassemble to NAD+. However this process is not guaranteed as not every cell is capable of converting NAD+ precursors to NAD+ due to enzyme expression differences and differential utilization of precursors3. Unlike NAD+, NAD+ precursors are not universally accepted by all cells at all times3.
For the first time ever, using our patented WaferiX® wafer technology, 50mg of pure, intact NAD+ can be delivered sublingually (under the tongue), effectively and safely. Compared to orally ingested NAD+ precursors that get broken down before reassembling to NAD+ in the cells, sublingual delivery allows 100% intact pure NAD+ to be directly absorbed into the bloodstream from under the tongue for optimal effect.
NAD+ stands for the oxidized form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It is a coenzyme found in all living cells and exists in the body as a redox pair1.
The benefits of NAD+ are supported by scientific literature, from converting nutrients into energy, to being a helper that mediates biological processes such as rejuvenating aging cells into healthier younger cells 1,4.
NAD+ acts as an energy-starter molecule involved in critical biological processes such as cellular energy and cellular repair that make life possible. It is called “the molecule of youth” due to its role in cellular energy production and its ability to regulate the genes of aging 1,5,6,7.
Unfortunately, NAD+ levels steadily decline with age, resulting in reduced cellular energy, cellular repair and organ function. These all contribute to altered metabolism, visible signs of aging and increased disease susceptibility1,2.
We cannot survive without NAD+.
As the level of NAD+ declines with age, mitochondrial energy production is impaired8. This contributes to symptoms of aging such as fatigue, weakness, memory decline, joint and muscle pain, joint stiffness, slower movement, compromised immune function, increased susceptibility to infections and age-associated diseases1,2,5.
Taken place in the mitochondria, which is considered the “powerhouse of human cells”, the Krebs cycle, also known as the citric cycle/tricarboxylic acid cycle is a series of important reaction sequences that generate cellular energy (ATP)4. This is critical in sustaining cell function, initiating biological processes and assuring muscle function such as breathing, heart beating, and all other reactions requiring energy1,2,4. This series of reactions cannot happen without NAD+.
